Streaming Web App & Global Radio Platform with Real-Time Web Audio DSP
01.The Problem & Why Naive Implementations Fail
Web audio streaming often suffers from flat audio dynamics and dead stream failures. Meanwhile, deploying Next.js apps with native Rust/C++ bindings (Tailwind Oxide, Prisma) to Docker frequently breaks due to musl/glibc ABI incompatibilities.
02.Architectural Solution & Engineering Decisions
Implemented a real-time Web Audio DSP subsystem using BiquadFilterNode filters for custom Bass, Mid, and Treble curves. Designed spatial navigation for TV/keyboard navigation and engineered a resilient two-stage Debian-slim Docker container with container health probes.
Key Architectural Highlights
Web Audio BiquadFilterNode DSP Subsystem
Real-time audio processing pipeline featuring Bass (lowshelf 100Hz), Mid (peaking 1000Hz), and Treble (highshelf 3000Hz) nodes with preset sound profiles.
const ctx = new AudioContext();
const bass = ctx.createBiquadFilter();
bass.type = 'lowshelf';
bass.frequency.value = 100;
bass.gain.value = bassGain; // dynamic real-time slider
sourceNode.connect(bass).connect(mid).connect(treble).connect(ctx.destination);Two-Stage Hardened Docker Deployment
Containerized build bypassing Windows-to-Linux native binding discrepancies with multi-stage caching and HTTP health checks.
